Childhood is a crucial period when a child's physical and psychological foundations are formed. As a pediatrician, I have the unique opportunity to positively influence this development and guide children toward a healthy and fulfilling life. To this day, this remains one of the main reasons I chose pediatrics during my medical studies.

In addition to earning my degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava, I expanded my expertise through specialized internships and study programs abroad, including in Turkey, Austria, and Israel.

After completing my studies, I worked at the Children's Clinic at the National Institute of Pediatric Diseases, where I focused on diagnosing and treating a wide range of childhood illnesses. Alongside my clinical practice, I actively participated in teaching pediatrics to medical students, striving not only to pass on knowledge but also to instill a passion for the field. I was also involved in scientific research, specializing in childhood obesity, hypertension, and urinary tract infections. My work led to the successful completion of my doctoral studies and the attainment of a PhD. I have presented my research findings at numerous pediatric congresses both nationally and internationally and published in esteemed international medical journals.

I am also a mother of two children, one of whom has autism spectrum disorder. This personal experience has deepened my understanding of psychomotor development and its disorders in children, helping me recognize early developmental differences and intervene effectively.

I firmly believe that children's health is the foundation of a healthy future. That’s why I take an individualized and empathetic approach to every patient and their family, ensuring they receive comprehensive and high-quality medical care.

Since childhood, I have had a natural affinity for working with children, which inspired my decision to study medicine with a clear goal in mind—to become a pediatrician. This dream remained unwavering throughout my studies. After graduating, I began my career at the National Institute of Children’s Diseases, where I gained extensive experience in nearly every department through rotations, acquiring valuable knowledge in all aspects of pediatric care. Additionally, I spent over two years working in the pediatric emergency department, which equipped me with essential skills in acute medicine.

I believe that children teach us some of life’s most important lessons—their honesty, joy, and unique way of perceiving the world are truly inspiring. Each child has specific needs, and working with them requires not only professional expertise but also empathy, patience, and understanding.

I look forward to partnering with you and caring for your children in our clinic!

I come from a large family, and being around children and taking care of them has always been a natural part of my life. I believe this influenced my future and led me to my current profession—to become a pediatrician. Being surrounded by children, being inspired by them, and accompanying them on their curious and unique journeys is my greatest joy.

My professional journey has been shaped by diverse experiences in various places and positions. These include working on a humanitarian project in a hospital in South Sudan, completing a pediatric residency program at the Children’s Hospital in Banská Bystrica—primarily at the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, but also periodically at the 2nd Pediatric Clinic and the Pediatric Emergency Department—working with the team at the children’s mobile hospice Svetielko Nádeje, and my current role at a pediatric clinic.

Each of these professional experiences has been invaluable, shaping me not only in my career but also as a person. They have taught me what truly matters—health, gratitude, and meaningful interpersonal relationships enriched by clear and compassionate communication.

This is why I believe that giving children and their parents the time and space they need at the clinic is both the least and the most I can offer.

I look forward to meeting you.

Since childhood, I harboured a dream of making a difference in people's lives, enriching them with beauty and betterment. A pivotal moment in my journey occurred during a week-long hospital stay as a sick child, where I discovered my life's mission: to become a Pediatrician. The path towards this aspiration was arduous and lengthy, yet today, I find myself immersed in a profession that resonates deeply with me.

Also, currently employed at a children's hospital, I encounter diverse ailments on a daily basis. Each patient presents a unique case, demanding an individualized approach and treatment. My aim is to ensure that every child under my care experiences a vibrant and healthy childhood.

I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet you!

Terézia Blašková

I have always known that I wanted to become a nurse. During my studies at secondary medical school, I made the definitive decision to specialize in pediatrics. Currently, I am pursuing a university degree, as continuous education and professional development are essential in our field.

Over the years, I have gained valuable experience working in a neonatal intensive care and resuscitation unit (NICU) and later in a pediatric clinic. Working with children is truly fulfilling—I build strong connections with them and always strive to approach each child with empathy and care. Despite my relatively young age, I have developed extensive experience across various areas of healthcare.

I am passionate about my work, and my greatest motivation is the opportunity to help—to be a source of support not only for my young patients but also for their parents.

I look forward to working with you!

Since childhood, I’ve wanted to protect children’s health and provide them with loving care. This passion shaped my future, leading me to study nursing and later to dedicate myself to this beautiful profession.

My previous experience is in an allergology clinic, but for many years now, I have been working as a nurse in a pediatric clinic. This work fulfills me every day. I consider health to be the foundation of a child’s comprehensive development. I try to pass on to children the inspiration I get from my own hobbies, such as books, art, and sports.

Health is a feeling of physical, mental, and social well-being, not just the absence of illness. And this is incredibly important for children as well as adults.

I graduated from the Nursing School in Martin, specializing in pediatric nursing due to my deep affection for children. My professional journey commenced at the Infants' Institute in Dunajská Lužná, later transitioning to the children's department in Podunajské Biskupice at ÚTaRCH. Following maternity leave, I joined the Rescue and Health Service in Bratislava, culminating in my recent role at the CMO eye clinic in Bratislava.

My inherent fondness for children, bolstered by being a grandmother myself, beckoned me back to pediatric care. I relish life's joys, including children, people, laughter, gardening, and nature. Known for my communicative, responsible, and upbeat demeanor, I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to contribute to Pastel Care, aligning with our shared vision of a medical/holistic approach.

Kristína Luštiaková

As a medical student driven by a passion for science and a commitment to aiding others, I find myself captivated by the intricacies of the human body and its remarkable capacity for self-healing. This fascination has fueled my pursuit of medicine since childhood.

Throughout my studies, I engage in the multifaceted aspects of diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. However, it is within pediatrics that I discover my greatest enthusiasm. My aspiration is to evolve into a pediatrician dedicated to delivering exceptional care to every child entrusted to my care.

I firmly believe that, even as a student, I can contribute meaningfully to a team devoted to enhancing the lives of young patients. Joining a pediatric clinic presents a distinctive opportunity for me to refine my nursing skills, amass invaluable experience, and play a part in fostering the health and well-being of children.

Alžbeta Golianová

My name is Alžbeta Golianová, and I’m from Detva. I am a fourth-year medical student at the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava, studying general medicine. Helping others has always been both my dream and my calling, and it’s what has led me to where I am today.

I am drawn to pediatrics—a field that fascinates me with its complexity and deep significance. It requires precision, diligence, and continuous learning, qualities that come naturally to me. I have always had a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of purpose in everything I do. For me, working with children is not just a career choice; it is a calling where I find true fulfillment.

Why pediatrics? Because young children often can’t explain what’s wrong—they require doctors who are attentive, observant, and able to recognize even the subtlest signs. This field demands dedication and lifelong learning, but I can’t imagine anything more meaningful than helping and healing the youngest patients, who have no choice in their illnesses.

I am excited to be part of the Pastel Care team and contribute to the exceptional care being provided here.
